I have always loved taking pictures of Natures Beauty. It was not until a couple of years ago I started taking photography a little more seriously and wanted to do more with it. I honestly have a deep love for all of the beauty I see in nature while hiking or just walking in the woods. I have been known to just sit for hours taking in all of the energy that I feel when I am outside. I have also been told more than once, when I am in nature, my energy just merges into the scenery. I found that to be a great compliment and it was something I really understood. When I am taking pictures of natural things, I try to focus on the unusual, the unique and/or things people would just walk by or who would just give a fast glance at. Tree stumps is one of my favorite things to photography. Why are so many people drawn to spooky, haunted things? Have you ever thought about it? Why do we pay the money to go to haunted houses on Halloween? Why do we love to watch spooky movies, especially if they are based on true events? Oh, my goodness when I went to see "Texas Chainsaw" and read it was based on a true story, I freaked! Did I watch the movie yes, have I re-watched the movie? Yes! The truth is, Georgia like all other states has a lot of ghost stories, especially in the mountains and South Georgia. The old gothic feeling of Savannah is a must see. Oh, and I promise you will see or feel a ghost while you are there! Back in the early 90's when I first got involved with the internet; I was amazed with the things I learned. At first when I started going into chat rooms and met people from all around the world, it was amazing, but when they started to share some of their favorite things, I became totally addicted to the net! I wanted to learn more, I wanted to be introduced to more things, and one of the biggest things I was introduced to was Enya. I was raised with all kinds of music, but I have never heard of Enya until some friends from the chat rooms introduced me to her music. Music is truly food for my soul. While I am writing or doing my art I often listen to music. It helps me to remain calm and from that calmness creativity flows like water. During different times, while doing different artwork or different styles of writing my moods will change according to the music I am listening to. Friday the 13th-Luck or Not?

When it comes to superstitions and horror somehow Friday the 13th always pops up! With horror films such as Silent Hill and the Amityville Horror, and the Friday the 13th series, no wonder Friday the 13th gets a bad rap. From a young child I was always told, all kinds of horrible things happens on Friday the 13th because it is a very bad luck day, blah, blah, blah. Did you know that many times ALL OF THE BAD things that happen on that day could be because you are physically manifesting them, an embedded fear of that superstition so to speak? Superstitions and/or Folk Beliefs stem from myths and prophecies. It is taken from a belief or a half of a belief with no rational substance. When we hear many things it goes into our limbic system and it is stored there. When we hear certain things or smell certain scents it triggers the memory of hearing about something and it creates a fear or whatever emotion you had when you first heard it. By using simple little things that you have on hand, you can help ear mites leave your animals, by using a little cornmeal you can get rid of ants! Well, to save on your electric bill you can use candles for light, the scent is wonderful and plus it is very romantic. I use essential oil on all of my candles for its aromatherapy effects.
