Promises Made, and Promises Broken

Okay, as cold as it sounds trust me on this one, be sure all of your financial matters are written out, signed and legal. I am faced with a very odd situation where my husband did not do something he should have because he trusted his family member to do the right thing.  As many times as I talked to  him about this situation, he kept telling me over and over this situation will be okay because his family member would never do something that was not fair.  By the time my husband realized he needed to do something to secure this situation it was too late because his speech became limited and his train of thought was so bad he refused to talk to anyone. Now I am faced to handle this situation on my own, and there is nothing to go on except here say.  I did find a legal document that I could use if I want to hire an attorney but that is just something else I need to decide on here soon.

Don't get me wrong, I was not an old fashion housewife that did not know anything.  Actually, I was very independent in my marriage, in the twelve years we were married. I tried to lay back some and let my husband handle some things... NOW I realize I should have carried on learning the way I was before he and I got married.

Even though I have a ton of things that need taking care of... I still have days where I do not want to think about anything, do anything, or be involved with anything. I just want to hide and continue to slap myself out of this nightmare I am living in.  Life after a spouse passes is like standing up learning to walk for the first time. And sometimes the sadness of my loss just really lays heavy on my shoulders and I could care a less about anything that needs done. But the next day I look at things through a new day prospective and get up and keep battling. So I suppose the saying each new day is a blessing, is very true.

Google Search has been my saving grace. Of course I will always be thankful and grateful to my friends and family, but having Google Search has been a life jacket for me. As I have mentioned before, when you are grieving you just get so tired of talking about things...but there are things that you are going through and you need to know if there are rational explanations for them or not. Yes, some may appear to be paranormal, but some are just flat out things that makes you feel like you are losing your mind.  I am suffering Separation Anxiety really badly along with social phobia.

Towards the end, my husband could no longer sleep in the bed, when he tried both he and I were up most of the night fighting different battles with his disease.  So my Separation Anxiety really started before he passed because I hated being in bed without him, yet I couldn't sleep with him in bed with me... so it meant me going without a sleep which was okay as long as I could be in a room with him.

Some of the post I have found online talked about the wife being eerie at night due to paranormal things. Now the paranormal is something I am more than aware of.  I have experienced things since very early childhood and it continues to this day.  My husband always promised me two things:  One he would never haunt me, and the other one he would never leave me. I know for a fact he is watching over me and even hangs around here a lot. Sweetie will always sit outside my office door staring upward as if someone was standing in front of her, not to mention she runs around like she is playing catch with someone.

I choose to not acknowledge my husband if it is him here (paranormally speaking) because I desperately need closure.  I suppose that sounds cold as hell, but it is taking everything I have to move forward and find some kind of direction in my life. Part of me feels like getting in the jeep and just taking off.. getting away from all of the memories of this home. There is nothing holding me down. Financially speaking that is not a wise decision-mentally speaking it feels like the perfect thing to do.  But would that be considered running away from my problems? Just another thing I have to think about.

I have learned that promises made now are only figments of a child's imagination. I use to be a huge stickler on promises, if you broke a promise you made to me, meant a trust flag would go up... now after the promises made and the promises broken, they are just words that someone gives to another in hopes of making the person feel good and/or secure.

Haunted North Carolina

Clipped from www.squidoo.com

North Carolina Hauntings

Asheville North Carolina

North Carolina is among one of my favorite states. With all of the beauty of the surrounding mountains, I have never thought about this state being haunted. Isn't funny how we see things sometimes.

In doing research of Haunted North Carolina, not only did I find several interesting hauntings, but also hauntings that I have heard in other states as Urban Legends. Regards. I want to focus on Asheville, North Carolina because there seems to be a lot going in and around that area.

With all of that being said, sit back and relax and let's see if these tales will give you chills. I know for the past two days, I have had a constant chill thing going on after reading so much haunted things in New York and now North Carolina.

Haunted Long Island New York

Clipped from www.squidoo.com

Haunted Long Island, New York

Long Island, New York

Writing this page has been somewhat of an experience for me. I literally spent a full day researching the places I have posted trying to cross reference and such. Unfortunately, this is not my first attempt in trying to write about Haunted Long Island. I have started two different pages about the Amityville Horror, and ended up deleted them both. I deleted them for different reasons, but was thinking if I focused on other haunted areas in this area, perhaps I would have a page that I felt comfortable to put out there.

I am almost positive I have never spoken to a person who has not heard about the Amityville Horror. It is the most famous unexplained account in the country of a family who lived in a house and was ended up being killed by the oldest son. This case is filled with a lot of unexplainable paranormal events that has to do with the supernatural and very negative energy. Another family had purchased the on home a year later and experienced horrible, frightening hauntings and ended up moving out after 28 days.

Dustings from the School Bus

Back to School Quest

Dustings from the School Bus

The Angels of Squidooville received a letter in their inbox that spoke of a special quest that was available. Since it is that time again when all of the School Buses are out cleaning off the dust and getting ready for the new school year to begin, the officials at Squidooville headquarters thought it would be fun to go on one last adventure before school officially started.

Ms. Bonnie and Ms. Robin packed a lot of extra juice boxes and sent all of us Angels out to explore new territories in Squidooville. It was a seven day journey and each of us Angels were suppose to visit 10 new homes in a new territory each day for seven days. (I was really afraid we were going to run out of juice boxes because WOW this was a really fun road trip!)

Ghost vs Spirits

Ghost vs Spirits

Is there a difference between Ghost and Spirits?

As I write this lens, I too will be learning the difference between ghost and spirits. I know in general conversations when people speak about this subject, they will refer to ghost/spirit in the same context. Is there a difference? Lets start here...

Wikipedia A ghost is said to be the apparition of a deceased person, frequently similar in appearance to that person, and usually encountered in places she or he frequented, the place of his or her death, or in association with the person's former belongings. The word "ghost" may also refer to the spirit or soul of a deceased person, or to any spirit or demon.

Psychic Children are very Gifted

Psychic Children

Psychic Children are very Gifted

Psychic Children

I am creating this lens for a few different reasons. I just finished watching a show on T.V. about Psychic Children, and the one thing that kept going through my mind was, I wish someone would have taken the time to help me learn about my gifts as a child, instead of making me feel like a freak.

Plus, I believe this is a very important subject because children are so attuned to the Spiritual World and Psychic Abilities when they are young. The problem is; they do not know what to do with these abilities and are unsure how to use them.

Last, I believe children need to safe enough in the family to have open communication. Many Gifts are lost in children because they become afraid or unsure of what they are experiencing. They begin to wonder if what they seen were real or pretend is this good or bad, doubt is a horrible emotion to feel and unfortunately it begins at a very early age.

Haunted Georgia

Hauntings in Georgia

Haunted Georgia

Why are so many people drawn to spooky, haunted things? Have you ever thought about it? Why do we pay the money to go to haunted houses on Halloween? Why do we love to watch spooky movies, especially if they are based on true events? Oh, my goodness when I went to see "Texas Chainsaw" and read it was based on a true story, I freaked! Did I watch the movie yes, have I re-watched the movie? Yes!

The truth is, Georgia like all other states has a lot of ghost stories, especially in the mountains and South Georgia. The old gothic feeling of Savannah is a must see. Oh, and I promise you will see or feel a ghost while you are there!

I know you will find some interesting things on this page and hopefully you will share some of your own experiences in the guestbook.

Haunted English Castles

Haunted English Castles

Haunted Castles

When it comes to haunted castles especially in England, there is a very long list. I love watching Ghost Hunters International because they visit many different castles with very spooky tales.

What do you think it is about castles that give them the reputation of being haunted? Could it be because most of them are centuries old, we hear chilling tales of things that happened in the dungeons?

Often the mind associates castles with Dracula, dragons, torture chambers, Dungeons of horror and an eerie feeling from the cold, dark, damps walls.

This is my 60th SquidBOO lens and the idea of it came from a wonderful lensmaster Rewards4life

St. James Hotel-New Mexico

Clipped from www.squidoo.com

St. James Hotel-New Mexico

A Brief History of St. James Hotel

he St. James Hotel is located in the historic downtown Cimarron, New Mexico. It is a historical hotel, restaurant and bar. It is known for its legendary status of being haunted by the spirits of men murdered there in the 19th century during the "wild west" days.

This hotel was built in 1872 by Henri (later changed to Henry) Lambert. During this time Cimarron and much of the surrounding area was owned by Lucien B. Maxwell. In the beginning the St. James Hotel was called the Lambert Inn.

The St. James hotel has been visited by many famous lawmen and notorious outlaws and was the scene of many murders. Some of the well-known people who had stayed at the St. James were: Wyatt Earp, his brother Morgan and their wives, Jesse James (who always stayed in Room 14), Clay Allison, Black Jack Tom Ketchum, Buffalo Bill Cody and Annie Oakley, Doc Holliday, Billy the Kid, and Pat Garret just to name a few.

Scariest Places on Earth

Clipped from www.squidoo.com

Scariest Places on Earth

The Paranormal and Supernatural

The paranormal involves many different aspects of the supernatural. It has a lot to do with haunted houses, ghost and spirit visitations and so much more. Almost every state, country and region has haunted and chilling tales to tell. I am almost positive it would be hard to determine where the most haunted place in the world was because there are so many. So this page is about many haunted events in houses, hotels and graveyards that I have found.

Living in a haunted house can bring a lot of anxiety into a person's life. When it comes to the supernatural there are facts that have been proven both physically and scientifically. Or should I rephrase that and say, some occurrences cannot be proven wrong by scientific theories.

Why do ghost exist? Do they exist? Why do ghost haunt certain places and some places are never haunted? The questions are never ending, and yet the paranormal activities continue. In today's world with more and more people searching for answers, there are many paranormal investigators becoming available to help you. I have several listed on this page and my hopes are to have more as this circulates.
