Since I have decided to divide my art lenses into separate catagories, I decided to devote one full lens to just flowers. To me flowers are some of natures born miracles. Have you ever really looked at a flower upclose? Have you ever paid attention to its soft velvet texture, its wide range of colors and the magic of how the middle of a looks? I am only asking these questions because these are somethings I have always been enchanted by. A flowers scent can be beautiful, it can smell sweet, my favorite is the scent of the moonflower that is very enchanting to me. Butterflies and Flowers

The Butterfly

There are several things in nature that just makes my heart fill with joy! The Mountains, Flowers, Dragonflies, Hummingbirds and Butterflies! I love purple flowers, purple leaves on plants and the deep red tones on Autumn Leaves. Okay, so I am sounding sapping, sorry but this is all true! When I am in the nature taking pictures, when I find special "Insects" captured in my photography I am like a kid in a candy store! I hate spiders!! Sorry I know that have good spiritual medicine but YUKE!! However, let me capture one in a photo (like the picture I am going to post) and it is like WOW how awesome is that! Me and The Butterfly is a different story. When I was a child, I wanted to turn into a butterfly. I can sit and watch one for as long as it stays in front me. I find butterflies very magical. They move with this unique grace, their wings are beyond beautiful, but their essence is a like a gift from the Divine. The one thing I really like about me (you will not hear me say that often) is the fact I am able to be so thankful for the smallest things in life. I have always been that way and hopefully will always remain that way. The Beauty of a Rose

am almost ashame to admit this, but roses are not my favorite flower. However, I have found like many other kinds of flowers and things in Nature, I love to photography them. Recently, I got a Nikon D3100 camera and I am trying hard to learn how to use it. It is not like my Fuji S1000 which was just a regular digital camera point and shoot. The Nikon is a much more advanced camera and I will admit at first did not like using it. The first time I took the camera out shooting, I took close to a 100 picture and only a hand full came out. I was so disappointed that I was tempted to return the camera and stick to using my Fuji. BUT that challenger part of me said, "NO WAY are you giving up!" So I practiced shooting pictures and just yesterday felt it was time to start using my larger lens. Read more at www.squidoo.com

What better way to say "I Love You" than by a giving your loved one a Rose? Well, I personally am not a Rose person, but I sure do love photographing them. They are just like every flower I have photographed so far, they each have their own unique personality.

This Rose just seems magical to me. It is like it glows or something. I remember the day I took this picture and was outside experimenting with different backgrounds and trying to adjust the lighting on my camera. When I uploaded and seen this picture, I really liked it because of its uniqueness.
