Day-72 Macros Porcelain Looking Rose Magnet

I decided to call this photo a Porcelain Looking Rose because it reminded me of those porcelain rose knick-knacks that you see. This rose is also being made as bookmarks, prints and mouse-pads. This flower is also one of my flowers I am using in my Wedding Collection I am creating on Zazzle, links soon to follow. http://amplify.com/u/a16fzl

Macro Photography

In the beginning

Macros Photography

Beautiful White Orchid mousepad

n the beginning when I first started getting interested in photography on a more serious level, I remember being drawn to doing close up pictures of flowers. If I had to label myself as specific kind of photographer it would be a Nature Photograph that specializes in Floral and Macro Photography.  But being an amateur, I would never consider myself a professional photographer until I had years of experience under my belt.

How much have you thought about photography?  When you look at a photograph do you only see what is in the picture or do you see things that the ordinary observer would not?  When I look through the lens of my camera, it is like I am looking into another world.  That is why on my photography business cards my motto is: Beauty seen through the lens of a camera. When I look at flowers through the lens of my camera, I see “Life” in that flower.

Photography of Exotic Flowers

Pictures of Tropical Flowers

Photography of Exotic Flowers

When you first walk into a State Botanical Garden with your camera in hand; you pause for a moment to take in all of the scents that linger in the air. Yet, you pause for another moment to absorb the thought of where you would like to begin photographing.

The State Botanical Gardens is a perfect teaching ground for the amateur photographer. The bright colors of all the exotic, tropical plants overwhelm you with a strong sense of expectations. You excitably begin your journey towards the first section of exotic flowers. As you are slowly walking towards them, you become aware of the heightened beauty that is surrounding you, you get your camera ready, and begin to capture the scene in front of you.

RedGage 365 Day Challenge

A Flower a Day Challenge

I use to be very active at RedGage, but because I was so busy with other projects my time became limited. But than I started missing it A LOT so I tried to visit there whenever I had a free moment. But soon I realized what attracted me to the site in the first place and it was not only because of the wonderful community, but also because of the opportunities it has to earn extra income.

RedGage offers people a lot of different ways they can earn money for things they are already doing online and NOT making money for. So why not become a member at the RedGage Community and see what I am talking about. See if you answer YES to any of the following questions.

1. When you write a new blog, article or take a new photo you automatically want to promote it?
2. You submit your work to many different sites and often still do not get a lot of traffic?
3. You would like the opportunity to earn money?
4. You would like to multi-task taking care of several things at once?

Did you answer YES to any of these questions? If you did come and join us at RedGage and join a challenge like this one or make up one of your own. It will accomplish many different things at once: You have the chance to earn some extra money, you create back links, you learn so much from the fantastic information submitted to the community and best of all you will meet some fantastic people who are all doing the same thing as you!

This is a challenge I wanted to do and along the way a few other people have joined me. It is a celebration of Springtime and sharing our photography of different flowers. Throughout the season changes you will watch our photos change. Comments and Ratings are always welcomed and appreciated!!

The Beauty of Springtime

This is a photo that I took at the Botanical Gardens in Athens, Georgia. I used a Nikon D3100 Camera with 55-80 lens. I am not that familiar with Camellia flowers, I just know once I seen them I fell in love with it.  It is a delicate looking flower that holds so much beauty that to this point, it is one of my favorite photos that I have taken.

What screams louder than beautiful Daffodils after a soothing rain, that Springtime is here? In my opinion most flowering bulbs screams Springtime in a soft beautiful way that gets you all geared up for the planting season ahead.

Another Daffodil. Did you know that I have never seen just one daffodil growing by itself? They are always surrounded by other ones. Some may bloom sooner than others but they will never be alone.

I am planning on adding more to this in a little while. Please do come and visit again!!
