Welcome to my Blog. It is a little insight into my world. I share my feelings in hopes of helping others. I share my passion for photography and art. I love writing and write like I talk. I am not proper, my sentences are not always correct, but, my style of writing is like me. Since early childhood, I was known as Rebel and I suppose my writing reflects that today.

Butterfly Love
L.O.V.E.
How many times have you spoke the word Love and stared into someone's eyes and see this "Ah" look? How many times have you seen something and your stomach fills with this fluttering feeling like a hundred butterflies are flying around in there? This morning while I was outside watering some newly planted flowers and tomato plants, I got that feeling in the pit of my stomach that made me feel overwhelmed with this feeling of love. I have spoken a lot on many of my pages about how I feel about Nature and how it makes me feel and how it inspires me. I feel so blessed to be able to be open enough to accept and appreciate all of the be
auty in a world that also holds a lot of ugliness and sadness.Read more at www.squidoo.com
Butterflies and Flowers
The Butterfly
There are several things in nature that just makes my heart fill with joy! The Mountains, Flowers, Dragonflies, Hummingbirds and Butterflies! I love purple flowers, purple leaves on plants and the deep red tones on Autumn Leaves. Okay, so I am sounding sapping, sorry but this is all true! When I am in the nature taking pictures, when I find special "Insects" captured in my photography I am like a kid in a candy store! I hate spiders!! Sorry I know that have good spiritual medicine but YUKE!! However, let me capture one in a photo (like the picture I am going to post) and it is like WOW how awesome is that! Me and The Butterfly is a different story. When I was a child, I wanted to turn into a butterfly. I can sit and watch one for as long as it stays in front me. I find butterflies very magical. They move with this unique grace, their wings are beyond beautiful, but their essence is a like a gift from the Divine. The one thing I really like about me (you will not hear me say that often) is the fact I am able to be so thankful for the smallest things in life. I have always been that way and hopefully will always remain that way. So I would very much like to share some of the beauty I have been blessed to see and luckily enough to be able to take some pictures of. Image is (c) WhiteOak-2010Read more at www.squidoo.com
Butterfly and Hummingbird Feeders
Sugar Water and the Swallowtail Butterfly
By now most people know how I feel about flowers, dragonflies and butterflies. Each is my favorite thing to photograph. This morning while my husband had our little Yorkie outside doing his business, he noticed an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly flying around the yard. He came in and said, "Do you have your camera ready?" I said, "I always have my camera ready why?" When I went outside the Swallowtail Butterfly was nowhere to be seen. However, I love flowers in the morning when they are all fresh and revived from the blistering heat from the day before, so I ended up shooting some pretty good photos of flowers I am growing. Right, when I was getting ready to go inside, guess who showed up? Yep, the teasing Swallowtail Butterfly! Trying to capture that little guy was a trip! My husband came out and seen me I suppose, but he stepped back inside the house and came back out with this tiny bowl of sugar water. The butterfly would fly around and finally stopped long enough to check it out from a distance. This was the photo I was able to capture. That ordeal is what lead me to write this page. I never knew they had "Butterfly Feeders available. Oh, by the way by the end of the evening my husband had ordered me a butterfly feeder from eBay and I cannot wait to get it!Read more at www.squidoo.com
Butterflies and Dragonflies Totems
Our Totems can also be insects
Once one class I attended one of the students said in her shamanic journey the only thing that kept showing up was the ant. An ANT! Can you believe that! Why in the world would that be showing, what am I doing wrong? she asked. The teacher looked at her and said, "That is a wonderful totem to have. Ants teach us many things, they symbolize working and how to work together in teams. When ants are building a community they do it in groups or as a team." The student sat there for a moment looking a little baffled but finally understand what she was being told. Actually, all insects including Butterflies and Dragonflies have a lot of fantastic "Spiritual Medicine" to teach us. I am going to share my understanding of what it means to have a Butterfly or a Dragonfly and/or both as Spiritual Helpers.
