know there are a ton of pages written about Reiki, but I wanted to share my journey with this amazing alternative healing method. I will share how Reiki entered my life. Why I decided to do Reiki and my journey with it ever since. I will admit that I am not as active as a regular practitioner, but I do know I use it a lot for personal use. I have found that once you are attuned to Reiki, it becomes a natural part of you. My whole journey deciding to do Reiki came to me in a vision. I write about this further down this page. I can honestly say if it were not for that vision chances are I would not have been attuned. As odd as that sounds, I just have a very hard time charging for any kind of healing I am asked to do. Herb Tea as an Alternative Healing Method

Herbs have been used by Medicine People for centuries in different towns and villages. Many of the townspeople would travel miles to visit the medicine person known in their community for healing. Apothecary and mid-wifery used herbs all of the time. Women would gather herbs during certain times of the day to and make potions (teas) for magickal uses and healing purposes. There is so much information available for Folk-Lore Myths and remedies that several people could write a squidoo lens and never touch the surface of Herbal Healing.

I learn something new daily about using herbs. For me herbs are very magickal in every sense of the word. But they are so much more than magickal...they are a sacred gift, given to us from the Divine to help heal us. I am a proud tree hugger, if I could hug all of the herbs in the world, I would do that too! I believe in herbs, I trust them, I love them! This Lens will be about different ways to use to crystals as an alternative healing method. I have always believed in the healing properties of crystals, but exactly how do you use them for healing? I will hopefully answer that question or at least get you interested enough to do further research. I am going to only speak about a few crystals beginning with malachite which is one of my favorite healing stones. I was given my first piece of malachite by a woman that I was taking a crystal healing class from. As we sat there talking, she told me that she had a vision of me sitting among other women wearing a head piece (like a crown) and the middle stone was a piece of malachite. choose to do this Lens as another alternative healing method-crystals. There are so many different ways to use crystals, hopefully I can give some good examples of different ways to use them. I am going to give a brief explanation on Amethyst, Quartz and Rose Quartz because these are three of my five favorite crystals. I started with amethyst because very seldom will you ever see me without wearing one, I believe in its healing properties that much. Its color ranges from deep purple to pale lavender. It is the presence of manganese in clear quartz that produces amethyst. Additional amounts of iron content vary the purple colouration. Read more at www.squidoo.com
